1 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you use EasyGiG, whether or not you create an account:

• Account information — name, phone number, and email address when you register.
• Order information — the recipient phone number, network, bundle or checker type, and amount for each purchase, whether placed as a guest or a registered member.
• Payment information — we do not store your card or Mobile Money details. Payments are processed entirely by Paystack, a licensed third-party payment processor; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount paid.
• Support communications — anything you send us through the Report an Issue page, WhatsApp, or other support channels.
• Technical information — basic device and browser information, and IP address, used for fraud prevention and rate-limiting (for example, to prevent abuse of guest checkout features).

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver the data bundles, result checkers, or other products you purchase to the correct recipient number.
• Verify payments and prevent fraudulent transactions.
• Send you order confirmations, delivery updates, and your result checker serial/PIN via SMS.
• Maintain your account, wallet balance, and order history if you're a registered member.
• Respond to support requests and investigate reported issues.
• Improve the reliability and security of the platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3 Payments & Financial Data

All card and Mobile Money payments are processed by Paystack, not by EasyGiG directly. When you pay, your payment details go straight to Paystack's secure systems — we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or Mobile Money PIN.

4 Sharing Your Information

We share information only where necessary to operate the service:

• Network providers and data suppliers — the recipient phone number and bundle size are shared with our upstream data/checker suppliers to fulfil your order.
• Paystack — for payment processing, as described above.
• SMS providers — to deliver order confirmations and result checker details by text message.
• Legal requirements — if required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EasyGiG, our users, or the public.

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

5 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorized personnel only. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6 Your Rights

You can:

• Access and review the personal information tied to your account through your Profile page.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal and financial record-keeping requirements (for example, completed transaction records may be retained as required by law).
• Ask us what data we hold about you at any time via Report an Issue.

7 Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functions only: keeping you logged in, remembering your theme preference (light/dark mode), and preventing repeated display of announcements you've already dismissed. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

8 Children's Privacy

EasyGiG is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of EasyGiG after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
